Cut the skein of thread in half and thread a 20cm (8in) length of wire through the loops.

With one side of wire shorter, cross the wires and twist for 12mm (1/2in) then trim the shorter tail.
Thread on the bead cap, crystal, heishi star spacer and the pearl.

Hold the wire 5mm (1/4in) from the tips of the round-nose pliers and bend over at right angles.

Wrap the wire tail around several times to fill the gap and trim the tail.
