Wrapped Rope Necklace

Wrapped Rope Necklace

On my way to London for the Swarovski Elements Launch tomorrow till Thursday. Looking forward to demonstrating my four pieces of jewellery including this wrapped rope necklace. It’s got a kumihimo rope, some handmade ropes made from rattail and a sturdy nylon rope bought at www.bead-workshop.co.uk. Evelyn – here’s what you can do with that black rope!

All ready to go

All ready to go

Finally finished the last piece for the Swarovski Launch and all ready to go. This year the main theme is Traces of Time with four sections: classic (faded memories), romantic (sunset rituals), progressive (vivid moments) and glamour (forgotten dreams). Can you tell which design comes from which theme? If you get a chance next week do come along to see the collection before it gets into the shops – I’ll be demonstrating on all days.

Micro macrame bib

Micro macrame bib

I’m just finishing adding the Fancy Stones and beads around the micro macrame to create the bib design. The piece has been designed to showcase the Romantic trend for the launch of the new Tangerine colour of Swarovski Elements. It works well with light silk, rose gold and these fabulous petrol blue pearls.

I’m a big fan of micro macrame and just love the way the Superlon colours blend through – lets you choose to match the beads. I’m working on this design and plan to add Fancy Stones to create a bib style necklace.

Crystalactite Pendant Earrings

Crystalactite Pendant Earrings

First design finished for the Swarovski Elements launch in London in a couple of weeks. These magnificent Crystalactite pendants make stunning earrings, surrounded by tiny beaded chains. I’ve purposely left the front chain short so that you can glimpse the beautiful pendant inside.

Square Braid Kumihimo

Square Braid Kumihimo

Featured in the March issue of Make & Sell Jewellery magazine – Rose Gold square fancy stones and dark moss green crystals work really well with this natural leather. The amazing metallic green beads are actually Jet ABFC.

Simple style – it’s just four strands of rattail worked into a long braid of Square Knot macrame that is finished with ribbon crimps and a fastening. The Swarovski Fancy stones are wired together before being stitched to the macrame braid. This is featured in the new edition of Make and Sell Jewellery magazine

Pretty in Pink

Pretty in Pink

The ladies got to choose their own colour of cord for the masterclass workshop at the Knitting and Stitching Show in Harrogate. The Swarovski mini beads in light silk and amethyst lie flat on the surface and show up really well on this lovely dusky pink.

A lot of concentration required to keep the right number of stitches on each row of this crocheted cuff bracelet. Swarovski XILION beads are crocheted in as you work and then the cuff is further embellished with square stones and mini beads.
